CWC leader Sivalingham said team that top on agenda is to discuss the changes to the 13thAmendment and its benefits expected to be passed on to the Tamils with an Indian Origin. Sonia Gandhi promised to hold discussions with Lankan government this regard. Sonia Gandhi further questioned about CWC representation in the parliamentary select committee which appointed to solve ethnic issue of SriLanka. She also stressed Lankan leaders to make pressures on government to solve problems face by Indian origins in the country. Indian leader promised to support for educational activities, grant housing project and construct vocational training center for upcountry people. Speaking to media general secretary of the Ceylon Workers Congress Arumugan Thondaman said that Indian central government consider Lankan indian origin as separate community in SriLanka and also he feel happy this regard. |
