Belgian family injured in accident

Five persons including four Belgian nationals were injured and hospitalized after the van they were traveling in crashed into the railings of bridge in the Batuoya area in Minneriya.

Police said the accident took place last evening and that the wounded foreigners have been admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital. Four Belgian nationals of the same family, a mother, daughter and two sons, area among the wounded while the driver of the van has also been admitted to the Dambulla Hospital with injuries.
