COPE report will be presented to parliament

The COPE report will be presented to parliament on July 23.

A committee member said that this report comprised the investigations done with regard to the year 2011. The COPE has started investigating 256 government institutions in 2011 and the final report of 110 will be presented to parliament on July 23. Among the institutions that came under the COPE microscope are Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lankan Airlines, Mihin Lanka Airlines, Road Development Authority, Samurdhi Authority and Petroleum Corporation. The COPE will meet again on July 9 before it present the report to parliament on July 23.
