Indian Defence Advisor arrives

Indian National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon arrived in Sri Lanka a short while ago.According to officials Mr. Menon is here to discuss a tri-lateral maritime security treaty among India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Indian Defence Advisor arrives Katunayake International airport at 12.00 pm this afternoon. Mr. Menon had earlier served as India’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and his current visit is on an invitation by the External Affairs Ministry, officials said. Indian envoy schedule to hold discussions with TNA, UNP and several other political parties, sources said.
