TID officials request court to hand over LTTE suspect

Officials attached to the Terrorist Investigation Division filed petition at the court on urging to handover surrendered LTTE members towards them to hold investigations on thousands of hidden weapons in the Colombo and suburbs.

Former LTTE intelligence unit member named Rajendrakumar, resident of Vavuniya surrendered to Lankan police recently. During the time of investigation he revealed LTTE leader Pottu Amman ordered to hidden thousand kilo grams worth of ammunitions in the Colombo and suburbs. He further said ammunitions, T56 guns, bullets, Rs.100 million cash and also Rs80 million worth of chocolates in these areas. LTTE officials fails to recover these weapons and he was able to identify the places where these ammunitions hidden.
