Minister Vasudewa slams Waliweriya Killing Fields

Leader of the Democratic Leftist Front Minister Vasudewa Nanayakkara says that it is a severe fault to deploy a military operation against a civilian protest in Rathipaswala which was about drinking water.

And the Minister also says that it is questionable why the army was called to engage in a fight without first analysing the facts. And he emphasizes that the government should present its official stance regarding the matter instead of contradicting statements made by police and the army. The announcement further says that whatever happens, in the end, the responsibility of these acts will befell uopn the government.
