Newly appointed Attorney General Mohan Peries previously served as advisor of Defence Secretary. With the support of Mohan Peries , Defence Secretary willing to control and to make influence on judiciary system of this country. Recently Gotabaya advised Mohan Peries to name lawyers to appear on case against Tobacco Company. During the time of political cases Defence Secretary and Attorney general hold secrete discussions, sources said. According to Gotabay’s agenda he passed impeachment motion against the former chief justice Shirani Bandaranike and also appointed Mohan Peries as chief justice of the country.
