The Chief Minister’s post is for five years, not for six months: Dayasiri

“The belief of many is that I will be going to the parliament after a period of six months. That is incorrect as the Chief Minister’s post is for a period of five long years.” This was disclosed by the new candidate of the Wyamba PC election Dayasiri Jayasekara.

He disclosed this also while speaking at a UPFA meeting. “The Disaster Management Ministry is also under the Chief Ministers purview. The problem of the people and wild elephants need to be solved. What is the action that had been taken by the authorities in this regard? When I become the Chief Minister on the 22nd of next month I will sort it out. If any one says it is not possible, I will show the way to do it” he added.
