13th amendment - not compulsory to listen comments made by India: Gotabaya

Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa announced its not compulsory to listen comments made by the Indian government to implementing 13th amendment in the country. SriLanka should solve problems by its own.

It does not mean that we should not maintain close relationship with India. Lankans should solve their national issue. Debate on 13th amendment will never affect relationship between two national. We are willing to maintain close relationship with India. India is well aware on Lankan issue. Provincial council system never helps to solve ethnic issue of this country. Tamil and Muslims nationals are residing in entire nation. I believe on extending administration and not on ethnic basis. Defence Secretary finally said this country belongs to all SriLankans.
