Area residents cut down hair of woman

Area residents have cut down hair of muslim woman while at Al- Azna Jummaha mosque at Galgamuwa ,Kurunagel over maintain extra marital affairs, sources said.

Victim has maintained love affair with Tamil youth in the area. Family members of the victim strongly oppose this affair and later of cut of her hair, she said. Six women arrested in connection with this incident and produce before the Galgamuwa magistrate court today. Magistrate Jayathilaka strongly warned the suspects and released on bail. Mosque administration said they have warned 40 year old woman on maintaining extra marital affairs with youth in the area and she refused listen to them. However SriLanka Jamiyathulla Ulama Organisation thoroughly condemns this activity and said SriLankan constitution do not include Shariya law.
