Don't acquire Kadirgamar's property - BASL

A team of representatives from the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) met Land and Land Development Minister, Janaka Bandara Tennakoon, last morning (7), and made a request not to acquire the land in Jaffna belonging to former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lakshman Kadirgamar, and allow the ownership of the land to remain with his son, Jebaratnam Christian Kadirgamar.

BASL Secretary, Attorney-at-Law, Champani Padmasekara handed over the letter of request to Minister Tennakoon. It has been stated in the letter that Christian Kadirgamar had informed the BASL that he has filed a case at the Court of Appeal in this regard.
