Youth arrested under prevention of terrorist act released

Today Jaffna High Court release youth arrested under the prevention of Terrorist act.

Victim identified as Sangarapillai Prabahakaran (30) resident of Urumbirai West. He was arrested while at Mulliwaikal on May 15,2009. He was produced before the Colombo magistrate court and released on bail. However attorney general department file case against the victim at the Jaffna High court. It was blamed while serving as LTTE member he has carried out attacks against Lankan Navy. On July 18, 2013 Jaffna High Court rejected the evident provided by the suspect and postponed case till August 7. Advocate Mudiyappu Remedias appeared on behalf of the suspect and judge Analingam Premachchandran ordered to released the victim.
