21 Indian fisherman arrested by SL Navy

The Sri Lankan Navy arrested 21 Indian fishermen in the seas of Thailaimannar for violating Sri Lanka's maritime border last night, the Navy said.

Five trawlers of the fishermen were also seized by the Sri Lankan Navy. Navy Media Centre said the fishermen were handed over to the Thailaimannar police and would be produced before the Mannar Magistrate later today. The fishermen were arrested four nautical miles off Thalaimannar coast.
