Voice of Lankan refugees at Indonesia prison

Group of 66 Lankan asylum seekers at India commenced their journey to Australia by boat on dreaming to enjoy peaceful life in future.
Due to technical error on the engine of the boat they were forced to stop their journey at Indonesia. We have spent one month at the Bengkulu city, Indonesia.
At present 21 asylum seekers are at Jagartha immigration office. It’s unable to collect informations on 45 boat people and 21 were detained in the prison.
Two pregnant mothers and 4 patients are among them.
3 bullets remain in the body of Ranjith. Steel has been fixed in the leg of Ratheeban and also 4 years old Santhosh suffers from hernia. Officials attached to the immigration department refused to comment on our problems.
Parents expressed fear over academic activities of their children detained in the prison. 5 graduates were also detained in the prison.
We are waiting for UNHRC response and request relevant officials to solve our problems with an immediate effect.
